Roush/Superformance Cobra goes into production
Superformance builds licensed reproductions of the 1965 Cobra. Roush does amazing tuning work with Ford-based stuff. The Roush/Superformance Special Edition MKIII-R is what happens when they join forces.
The car was shown originally at the 2007 SEMA show as a one-off super Cobra, but the interest in the car was so great, that the Roush add-ons are now being offered as an upgrade package for the Superformance rolling chassis.
As you’d expect the full on version’s specs are pretty impressive. The Roush engine is a 7.0-litre V8 with 576bhp, while the car gets an LSD, H&R suspension and lots of Roush branded stuff in the cabin. There’s even a two-year warranty.
It’ll be at SEMA again this year, where hopefully we’ll find out just how much it’ll cost.
