Geneva 2009: Hot hatches set to steal the show
2009 is looking good for power per £
The Geneva motor show is just over a month away, and hot hatches look set to steal the show. The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, Renaultsport Mégane Coupe, Mazda3 MPS and production VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus RS all debut
The original hot hatches were brilliant because they offered economy, efficiency, practicality, performance AND affordability. And now, more than ever, it’s time for cars that can do all these things to be flooding onto the market.
So that’s why the Geneva motor show will see the debut of the new Mazda3 MPS, the Renaultsport Megane Coupe and the newly-announced Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA. And that’s not to mention the production versions of the new VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus RS that will be gracing a backroad near you soon also taking a bow.
With Audi already announcing that it’ll show three new cars at the Swiss show, Geneva is turning out to be a good one for affordable performance motoring. We’ve already booked our tickets.
Here are just some of the cars set to be stars of this year's Geneva Motor Show: the Mazda3 MPS, the Renaultsport Megane Coupe the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA and production VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus RS
