Starter for 10: What's the best way of making people look at the slightly unexciting Lexus RX450h?
Geneva 2009: Lexus RX450h
Lexus has unleashed the RX450h hybrid on the world. It's the only we'll be getting in the UK, so make the most of it
Can big SUVs still be big news at motor shows? Well Lexus trucked up to Geneva with the new RX450h, and while you might have thought all the green headlines would be going to its parent company Toyota - with news of its latest Toyota Prius - the exec model maker was also trying to make green headlines.
The RX450h reckons it’s cleaner than any of its luxury off-road rivals, as Lexus has been working hard on its Hybrid Drive system to achieve CO2 emissions of only 148/km.
The RX450h will also be kinder to your wallet at the pumps, too, as the Japanese firm claims it can achieve 44.8mpg, thanks to its two electric motors working in tandem with a 3.5-litre V6. The fresh-faced RX goes on sale this summer.
