FAB-Design releases SLR based Desire, has us scared
FAB-Design's new SLR kit may have you desiring a new front end, but will speed you up nonetheless
Swiss Mercedes Benz tuner FAB-Design recently announced its latest SLR make over kit, appropriately named Desire. Well, that is, if you desire a car that resembles an angry scorpion that wants to pinch you in half and swallow you up in its gigantic grille.
We’re clearly not huge fans of the front end, but the Desire does have us drooling over some of its other features. Even if it is ugly, it is at least made completely of carbon fibre, sports awesomely huge wheel flares, and adds a huge rear ring and diffuser for added grip.
The suspension has been upgraded too, which will certainly help put the extra power to the ground around the twisties. Yes, FAB-Design went ahead and added an extra 124hp to give a grand total of 750hp. Not bad.
Unfortunately, top speed is regulated to 192mph, which is actually lower than the stock version. FAB claims a 0-60 run of 3.6 seconds.
If all this sounds good to you, sorry, you’re too late. All 15 of the vehicles that are to made are already counted for. You’ll just have to set your desires on something else.
The bold styling of the Desire is certainly original... and a bit scary too
