"I love my new E-Class, it goes at just the right pace", comments Debbie, lifelong BRAKE member
No AMG E-Class Coupe
Mercedes has decided to let the E-Class Coupe go without an AMG model. How very...mature?
While we agree that the E-Class Coupe is aimed at people who are… a little ‘older’ and ‘wiser’ than us, we also think that Mercedes has chosen to wrong car to skimp on a hot version with.
Mercedes used to fall under fire for popping an AMG badge on anything they made (aside from Unimogs, but still), but leaving a mid sized coupe without a stonking great engine is a little silly. In fact, we’d go as far to call Mercedes (deep breath and say it with us):
BOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG.
They used to be fun, have a sense of humour, even. Sadly now they’re missing perfect opportunities to please upper management because they’d rather have the grey pound.
