Raunchy Toyota Yaris Competition Ad Gets Banned. Watch It Here, It’s Ace.

Sex sells. Fact. But we really rather like the way this ad, created for a competition in Australia pushes the boundaries of getting a bit of risqué content onto our computer screens.
Only in Oz
The ad is a response to a competition held in Australia. Toyota partnered up with legendary ad agency Saatchi and Saatchi, who offered an AUS$7,000 prize – that’s about £4 grand – for the best short film made about the Toyota Yaris.
Stimulating
Obviously the Yaris isn’t the most stimulating of subject matter, but this clip – which certainly meets the brief of being creative and original – proves that given a bit of thought, the supermini can be seen in a whole new light.
The ad won the comp
This entry, entitled “Clean Getaways” was voted as the best by the judging panel. However, some spoil-sports decided that it went a bit too far and complained.
In the competition guidelines it states that films “must not break the law, be immoral, contain any obscene language portray the Toyota Yaris in a negative manner or show reckless or careless driving that is against the law.” We can’t see how it contravenes any of the rules.
