The Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon estate will make its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Chevrolet is extending its Cruze range with a third model, the new Station Wagon estate.

The Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon is based on the same platform as the existing saloon and hatchback, and boasts a luggage area that measures 500 litres up to the window line and nearly 1,500 litres with the seats folded down.

It also marks the introduction of a new engine, a 130bhp 1.7-litre VCDi diesel. The new engine comes with stop/start as standard and produces emissions of 119g/km.

The Station Wagon is 168mm longer than the hatchback and 81mm more than the saloon, and features a heavily sloped rear roofline. All models come with roof rails as standard.

Expect the Cruze Station Wagon to go on sale in the summer of 2012, with prices and specification announced nearer to launch.
