Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid mpg figures
The new Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid is capable of 134.5mpg.
Toyota has announced emissions and fuel economy figures for the new Prius Plug-in Hybrid.
The new Plug-in Hybrid Prius is capable of combined fuel economy of 134.5mpg and produces emissions of 49g/km. It also has a range of 15.5 miles in electric only mode.
When battery power is depleted, the new Prius automatically returns to hybrid mode, where it returns 76.4mpg and produces emissions of 85g/km. The car has a total range of 769 miles.
Recharging takes 90 minutes using a conventional domestic plug. The Prius Plug-in is based on the current Prius, offering seating for five people and a luggage area of 443 litres.
The model will be launched in summer 2012, priced from around £30,000, inclusive of the UK Government's Plug-in Car Grant.
