Range Rover's Evoque has rewritten the 4x4 rulebook. It delivers the emissions of a supermini and the sharp handling of a sports coupé, but still manages to be as smooth and comfortable as Range Rover's larger models. The 2.2-litre diesel engine is efficient, too, returning close to 50mpg. The car is impressive around town, off-road and on long journeys, while the sharp looks mean you won’t go unnoticed, either.
