Maybach is Mercedes’ ultimate luxury brand designed to compete with Rolls Royce. Two cars are offered, the 57 and 62, and are more understated than Rolls Royce's cars, but feature some of the most impressive luxury technology of any car on sale today.

There are two Maybachs to choose from. The standard Maybach 57 is smaller, while the 62 features extra length between the wheels for more rear passenger room. Engine choices are a 5.5-litre or 6.0-litre V12 petrols, and both offer huge performance. Comfort and luxury is impressive, although the suspension can be a little too firm to offer the famed magic carpet ride of a Rolls Royce. Space in the front is OK, but the Maybach is best enjoyed as a rear-seat passenger, where you can relax in an adjustable, reclining seat, surrounded by every conceivable luxury. The options list is even more lavish, including gold plating for the interior and a special glass divider which fits between the front and rear seats, and goes opaque at the touch of a button.
