McLaren
Formula 1 team McLaren is back to making road cars after a break of 13 years since production of the F1 ceased in 1998. Not content with challenging Ferrari on the race track, the firm's first car, the MP4-12C, uses F1-inspired technology to take on the 458 Italia.
McLaren MP4-12C
The McLaren MP4-12C is packed with the latest Formula 1-derived technology and features a chassis that's made entirely of carbon fibre. The wing-shaped doors open to reveal a well designed, comfortable interior that provides a perfect driving position. Power comes from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 592bhp, which makes it more powerful than its main rival, the Ferrari 458 Italia. Thanks to the use of carbon fibre technology, the MP4-12C is lighter than the Ferrari, too, and it's one of the fastest and sharpest handling cars on sale.
