What a car. Fantastic to look at and drive. The negative comments some people have said about this car amaze me. You must have had a test drive first? So if it's that bad buy the unstylish other makes out there! Mine is in mountain grey and has AMG styling and to me seems very quick but with excellent fuel economy. The shape turns heads every time I drive it and people stop me about it all the time. Great car!!

I've owned this car for a few months and I think that its 122 hp are more than enough for commuting and overtaking if I am driving alone. I think it's quite comfortable (it doesn't have the AMG kit with sport suspension) and very stylish. I love the low seating position, it makes me feel as if I were driving a sports car. The downsides are the rear seats (which can be quite claustrophobic for some people in long trips) and the poor rear visibility due to the small windows. I haven't had any reliability issues so far.

So November 2013 I brought a brand new A class from a Mercedes dealership. The car was fantastic And at the time seemed worth the £23k I paid. HOWEVER the car has broken down on me a total of 5 times. I have been into the dealership on 3 occasions to get the problem sorted and each time being told the problem is sorted or they can't find any fault. On the 3rd attempt they have realised a serious fault with the car but cannot seem to fix the problem. My car has now been in the garage for 3 weeks and no one can update me on what's going on. I have had no choice but to reject the car and ask for a replacement however even this is something no one seems to be sorting! All I can say is my high regard for Mercedes and the quality of their vehicles and service has been shattered and I'm left with no idea of what's happening. I even try to call the customer services who only can contact the dealership and update me through them. It seems Mercedes have completely failed me and I am now driving around in a vauxhall with no resolution in sight!!

Fabulous! An absolute pleasure to drive. Its performance is astonishing on the open road yet it's docile and agreeable in town. I've not had any issues with the car and my local Mercedes garage have provided a high level of service as a part of the maintenance contract. The suspension is on the firm side but I accept this in consideration of the cars performance and handling. I took out an insurance policy to cover the alloy wheels and this for £200, has been money well spent. Its inevitable that they will be scraped. The car looks great, sounds great and is an amazing drive. I look forward to the new model later in 2018.

Actually this little car has been my favorite so far. For only a 1.5 CDI it will easily keep up with 1.9 tdi golf's. The mile per gallon is outstanding I roughly get around 68mpg however I have achieved over 72 on my long journeys costing me only £12 to get to Portsmouth from south Wales. The gearbox is smooth and actually feels like it's ment to be there . The engine runs as smoothly as a whistle, quite surprising for a French Renault engine huh? Well looks like Mercades and Renault have pulled this great little car together.

Looks good inside and out. Engine is a little sluggish but mpgs compensate a little for that. Been in the Mercedes dealership a few times for squeaky clutch, creaking seats, and screeching brakes. It's now in for the turbo to be fixed. Shame as it looks the part, but there are too many issues to justify the price tag when the car has only done 35k miles

Almost everything that can go wrong with this car will go wrong, 3 months after buying it new the gear box went. No one at Mercedes seemed to know what the issue was and the car spent over a month in the garage being fixed. When it came back it had a lovely big scratch down the side courtesy of the dealership. A year after owning it the front speakers broke. Took it into the dealership and was told it was fixed, a week later it had to go back in for the same issue. At the end of year two the rear wiper electronics broke. A few months into year two the ECU cut out and locked the car down, once the ECU was replaced none of the wiper controls or indicators worked so back into the shop again. 2 years 9 months in and the shock absorber broke and speaker issue is back once again. Overall when the car is working its nice to drive and the MPG is pretty good for a daily driver. However the constant issues with the car along with the poor build quality (very plasticy and noisy) are definitely not up to usual Mercedes standards. Looking around it doesn't even seem like these are one off issues. Would not recommend this car when Audi and BMW have much better offerings in terms of speed/build quality and reliability

Owned this car for a month now and not long enough to comment on reliability but I had to write the review to highlight the mpg. I travelled from Edinburgh to York and back and averaged 70.2 mpg. City driving is giving an average of 52mpg. Delighted with these figures and everything else about the car. Only complaints are the speech recognition for the sat nav which maybe just doesn't understand a Scottish accent.

Pretty reliable and confortable for short and long journeys. Really easy to park. Handles pretty well, you really can push it in corners, with minimal body roll. Also I like that for its size it is actually pretty spacious. You can't say that about the boot though, seeing as it really short over its wheels, space had to be saved somewhere.

Absolutely brilliant car cant fault it. Had no problems with it other than little niggly bits. Plastic quality in places arent the best but overall quality is brilliant. Drives really smooth wish i bought an auto but that may just be personal preference.

Pros: Very good sporty handling. Strong braking power comparing with BMW 1 series. The progressive power and gear ratios are good. Also good steering feel (with AMG package only). Cons: issue with fuel door, Engine control unit needed SW update for ignition failure on the highway. There was an issue with indicator stalk plastic. A lot of rattles were'nt solved after going to the dealer. Very stiff with AMG pack even with non run flat tires (Pre FL car) specially in the back seats.

Very dissapointing. Sluggish and underpowered compared to equivalent BMW and Audi models. Surprisingly cheap plastics, noisy, driver unfriendly hand brake position (for uk drivers), boot too small.
