The Smart ForTwo is designed to be the ultimate in city transport. It's available in coupe and convertible body styles, and is tiny, stylish and inexpensive to run. There are four economical three-cylinder engines to choose from, including a super-efficient diesel, and as the car's overall length is only 2.5 metres you can park it almost anywhere. The downside is that the ForTwo isn't very good at long motorway journeys. As its name suggests, there are only seats for two, and there's not much boot space to go with it.
