Best car lease deals 2022
The best new car lease deals, including the very best value manufacturer offers
If you’re keen on having one of the latest cars on your driveway but don’t want to commit to full ownership, then leasing a new or used car could be the ideal solution. Leasing isn’t just an option for business users; individual customers can also benefit from the upsides of leasing by taking out a Personal Contract Hire (PCH) payment plan.
When you lease a car, you’re effectively renting it. First you pay an initial rental charge, then a set monthly cost over a set period - usually 36 or 48 months - and when the contract is up, you hand the keys back and that’s the end of the deal. There’s no selling process or awkward negotiating involved.

There are a few extra factors to be taken into account should you opt for a PCH contract. Firstly, there will be an annual mileage allowance. If you exceed this limit then you will be charged per extra mile and some of the rates can be quite high. Also, much like a normal rental car, the vehicle’s condition must be acceptable on its return, otherwise you’ll have to pay to make the car good again.
As with anything financial, be sure to do your research before making a decision. All plans, such as Personal Contract Hire, Personal Contract Purchase and Hire Purchase, come with their own pros and cons and are a significant commitment for most people, so it’s important to determine which form of finance works best for you. If you prefer the idea of owning your new car instead, then check out our list of the best new car deals.
Read on for our list of the best PCH leasing deals currently available directly from the manufacturer.
1. Audi Q2
Model: Audi Q2 Technik 30 TFSI Manual
The Audi Q2 is Audi’s smallest, most affordable crossover SUV. It offers a smooth, comfortable ride that still manages to feel planted for an SUV. On the inside the Q2 feels safe, solid and leaves an upmarket impression. If boot space is a priority, the Q2 is also a good choice for a car of its size and offers 405 litres, which is more than many of its rivals. The 108bhp 30 TFSI engine offered in this Technik model should offer plenty of performance for most and reasonable fuel economy. Find out more about this deal here.

2. BMW 2 Series Active Tourer
Model: BMW 220i Sport Active Tourer
SUVs have largely replaced MPVs in recent times, but the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is an MPV that does a good job as a family car while delivering on the higher quality premium feel the brand is known for. The materials used in the 2 Series Active Tourer’s interior and slick infotainment system feel solid and well put together. The downside to this is that the car’s entry-level price tag of over £30,000 means it costs as much as bigger seven-seaters from other brands. If you’re swayed by its premium feel and want a cheaper way to get behind the wheel, then a PCH deal might be the answer. Find out more about this deal here.

While base models are well equipped, the Comfort model offered here is a step up, with 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking camera, cruise control and an eight-inch multimedia system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bi-Fuel models can run on either petrol or LPG fuel which can save you money on running costs. Find out more about this deal here.

7. MINI Electric
Model: Level 1
The MINI has always seemed a perfect candidate for electrification since it’s a small, iconic car that’s loved by many and very often used for city driving and shorter trips. The MINI Electric is based on the standard petrol-powered hatchback and is actually a bit difficult to tell apart. The small body and range of just 145-miles rule this car out for those looking to make regular long trips but for zipping around town in style, there aren’t many cars that come close. While Land Rover has been fairly subdued in its redesigning of the iconic Range Rover, the changes have been made where they count the most, and the latest model promises to maintain this car’s reputation as one of finest SUVs on the market. The SEAT Ateca was the first SUV to come from the brand and was a fantastic start. It’s fun to drive for a car of its size too, thanks to a lively range of engines and firm but not uncomfortable suspension. Find out more about this deal here.

The Volvo V60 is the estate version of the S60 executive saloon and features a modern and luxurious interior featuring standard tech such as sat nav, LED headlights and a large touchscreen infotainment system. Keyless entry and a powered tailgate will also boost convenience, as will rear parking sensors. While you enjoy the V60’s understated luxury, you’ll also have a 529-litre boot at your disposal.
