Hyundai introduces sporty N Line trim level to the i30 Fastback
The Hyundai i30 Fastback is the latest model to be offered in sporty N Line trim level. N Line is a sporty trim level that sits between the standard i30 and the range-topping i30N, offering some of the more aggressive styling seen on the latter without the same running costs. The styling upgrades and some minor performance improvements for the i30 Fastback N Line culminate in a starting price of £20,495.
Distinguishing the Hyundai i30 Fastback N Line from the standard version is a range of cosmetic upgrades, including 18-inch wheels, a sports style front bumper and a deeper rear bumper with a rear diffuser.

Performance upgrades include bigger brakes, stiffened suspension and Michelin PS4 tyres as standard.
A pair of petrol engines are available for i30 Fastback. The entry-level variant comes with a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 117bhp. It can only be specced with a six-speed manual gearbox that powers the front wheels. Hyundai claims a 0-62mph time of 11.5 seconds, with CO2 emissions of 126g/km and a combined economy figure of 44.8mpg.
Also available is a turbocharged 136bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine. This engine can be had with either a six-speed manual gearbox as standard or a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox for an additional £1,000. The six-speed manual completes the 0-62mph sprint in 9.5 seconds with the seven-speed gearbox shading it with a time of 9.3 seconds. The six-speed manual achieves CO2 emissions of 132g/km with a claimed economy figure of 42.2mpg, with the seven-speed managing 129g/km and a claimed 44.8mpg.
The interior of the N Line i30 Fastback gets black headlining, a branded gear stick and cloth sports seats. Standard equipment includes an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment with sat nav, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Hyundai also offers the i30 Fastback in a higher spec N Line+ trim. Priced from £23,760, this adds LED headlights, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, automatic rain-sensing wipers, and electrically adjustable and heated leather and suede trimmed sports seats.
