Nissan Juke Acenta Premium
"In Acenta Premium spec, the Nissan Juke makes more sense over the normal Acenta trim."
Placed above the Acenta trim, the Nissan Juke Acenta Premium adds some bonus luxuries and some worthwhile safety equipment to the standard kit list.
A NissanConnect sat nav system, DAB radio and a reversing camera are thrown in and the optional Comfort Pack equips an 'open-air glass roof'. A key option that can also be fitted to the Acenta Premium is a suite of Nissan's safety tech; lane departure, blind spot detection and other clever safety systems are included. Some may think that the 'Premium' suffix to the trim name would have added a couple of extra trinkets for a decent chunk of money, but the Acenta Premium option is definitely a trim within its own right. We think it makes more financial sense over the standard Acenta trim too - all of that extra equipment only adds roughly £1,400 to the price tag.
The same engine choices fitted to the rest of the trim range are available in the Acenta Premium. The 1.2-litre petrol is the smallest offering, producing up to 49.6mpg and emissions of 128g/km. The 1.5-litre diesel is the most economical, as it is capable of up to 70.6mpg. Emissions of just 104g/km mean it also costs just £20 to tax.

Good points
The Acenta Premium seems to make more sense over the normal Acenta trim; quite a lot of extra luxuries help it justify the extra £1,500 buyers will need to pay. The £400 Safety Pack is worth specifying too.The high riding position makes for easy access in and out and provides loads of visibility compared to a hatchback. The 1.5-litre diesel offers impressive running costs and the Juke's popularity means the car shouldn't lose too much of its value when it comes to selling it on.
Bad points
The high-riding position and tall body do nothing but harm the Juke's handling dynamics. Body roll is present in large quantities and the ride is firm, so the crossover becomes uncomfortable on bumpy roads. The Juke isn't very practical. The boot is very small and is beaten by pretty much all of the SUV's rivals and rear passenger space isn't much better either. The automatic XTRONIC models are best left avoided. The gearbox strangles the engine's power output and makes the cabin a very noisy place to be in. It doesn't help that the XTRONIC system harms fuel efficiency too.

Our choice
The 1.5-litre diesel with the manual gearbox will provide enough performance for most buyers and the 70mpg economy will keep running costs low.
