The updated SUV goes on sale this month.

Suzuki has updated the Grand Vitara SUV for 2013, with the first version, the 1.9-litre DDiS five-door, on sale this month.
The exterior has been given a more angular front grille and bumper, while the SZ5 model receives new black inner headlight accents and 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels. Suzuki is now including a 16-inch spare – apparently due to customer demand – to remove the need for a puncture repair system. The spare wheel is mounted on the rear door, increasing the length by 200mm on the five door and by 170mm on the three door.

The 1.9 DDiS has reduced emissions of 174g/km (down 5g/km), which takes it down one road tax band to band H. Fuel economy is also improved, now returning 42.8mpg instead of the 41.5mpg of its predecessor.

Inside, the SZ3 and SZ4 have a new seat trim design, while the SZ5 five-door features a 6.1-inch touchscreen, with Garmin sat-nav, CD, radio and SD card, plus USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

You can buy the updated Suzuki Grand Vitara now.
