New entry-level model added to Nissan’s pick-up range.

This Nissan Navara Visia has been introduced as a new, entry-level model to Nissan's pick-up range. The Navara Visia is powered by a new version of Nissan's 2.5-litre dCi common-rail diesel engine. The motor produces 142bhp and is capable of returning a claimed average of 33.6mpg.

To enable Nissan to offer the Navara at a new, cheaper price, the Visia has simple black door handles rather than chrome, the bumpers are now body colour only (rather than two-tone) and the windscreen wipers use conventional wiper blades in place of the flat blades found on higher-spec versions.

Like all Navaras, the Visia features a 2.36m2 load bed and can tow up to 2,600kg. The Visia's maximum load is 1,250kg. The Navara Visia's equipment list includes air-conditioning, ESP, central locking, six airbags, a CD player and Bluetooth connectivity.

It features a part-time four-wheel-drive system that sends power to the rear wheels under normal conditions, but splits it equally between the front and rear axles when 4WD mode is engaged. There are also high and low ratio modes for the gearbox, with the latter providing extra levels of traction and pulling power, especially on steep slopes.

The Navara Visia is available to order now, and prices start from £17,995, with deliveries beginning in January 2013.
