The SEAT Altea Copa and the Altea XL Copa hit showrooms later this month.

SEAT has introduced two new models for the Altea and Altea XL, which SEAT claims add up to £1,500 worth of equipment for no extra cost. The new Copa models are designed to compliment the S and SE specifications, and will be named S Copa and SE Copa.

In addition to the standard S spec, S Copa adds: 16 inch ‘Elio’ alloy wheels, Bluetooth with hands-free phone connectivity, steering wheel-mounted controls, two additional speakers, dual-zone climate control, front foglights with cornering function, passenger seat height adjustment and cruise control.

SE Copa adds to the more luxurious SE spec with rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, plus automatic windscreen wipers and lights. It also includes SEAT's ‘Media System 2.2’, which incorporates sat-nav, a DAB digital radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and music streaming – all controlled through a five-inch colour touchscreen display.

The S Copa adds £1,500-worth of extra equipment and the SE Copa adds £1,100. There are now also only three engine choices in the Altea range: a 104bhp 1.2 TSI petrol, a 104bhp 1.6 TDI and a 138bhp 2.0 TDI. If efficiency is key, the 104bhp 1.6 TDI is the engine to choose, as it is the cleanest in the range averaging 62.8mpg and emitting 119g/km of CO2.
