SEAT Mii and Ibiza Toca editions announced
The SEAT Mii and Ibiza Toca editions are available to order now.
Toca is Spanish for ‘touch,’ and alludes to the fact that both the Ibiza and Mii Toca models feature the touchscreen SEAT Portable System as standard.
The Portable System is a cassette box-sized unit that attaches to the top of the dashboard. It features a five-inch touchscreen, which is used to control the sat-nav, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming functions (with a MicroSD card slot for music storage), and the trip computer functions.
The SEAT Mii and Ibiza Tocas also include air-conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, electric front windows, electronic stability control, remote central locking. The Mii Toca also benefits from rear parking sensors, while the Ibiza model gets front foglights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Mii Toca is based on the 1.0-litre SE version and comes with either three or five doors. The three-door Mii Toca starts at £9,845 and the five-door car starts at £10,195, making it £475 more than the SE model on which it’s based. However, SEAT claims that to add the extra equipment to the SE model would cost £805 extra.
The Ibiza Toca is available either as a three-door SC hatchback, five-door hatchback or ST estate model, and prices start at £12,700, £13,200 and £13,920 respectively. That makes the Ibiza Toca £425 more expensive than the SE car on which it's based.
The Toca editions are available to order now, with the first cars expected to arrive here in early February. However, SEAT is keen to point out if the car is bought before the end of March 2013 the Mii Toca is reduced by a further £850, putting the three-door model’s starting price at £8,995.
The Ibiza Toca model is also subject to an impressive discount. If bought by the end of March, all Ibiza Toca editions receive a £2,705 cut, making the starting price of the three-door SC model £9,995.
