Skoda Superb 2013 prices and specs revealed
The updated Skoda Superb will cost from £18,555 when it goes on sale in July
Prices and specs have been announced for the 2013 Skoda Superb, starting at £18,555 for the 1.4-litre TSI S hatchback when it goes on sale in July.
There's a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines, manual and automatic gearboxes and a top-spec four-wheel drive version. As before, the Superb will be offered in hatchback and estate versions, with the estate commanding a premium of £1,125.
The engines are up to 19 per cent more efficient than those in the old model, and include a super-efficient GreenLine TDI diesel version with impressively low CO2 emissions of 109g/km.

Standard equipment is generous, with basic S models getting 16-inch alloy wheels, mobile phone and iPod connectivity, as well as cruise control, LED rear lights, tinted rear windows and stop-start. Prices start at £18,155 for the 1.4-litre TSI petrol hatchback and rise to £22,920 for the 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel estate with the DSG automatic gearbox. The economical Greenline model costs from £20,070.
SE cars add 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and separate air-conditioning controls for the driver and passenger. Alcantara seats, a touchscreen infotainment system and electrically folding door mirrors are also standard, with prices starting at £21,595 for the 1.8-litre TSI petrol hatchback. The high-powered 168bhp 2.0-litre TDI is available with four-wheel drive and costs £27,105 in the estate bodystyle.
If you want a DAB radio as standard then you’ll have to go for the Elegance spec, which adds xenon headlights, electrically adjustable heated leather seats, rain-sensing wipers and a heated front windscreen. Basic 1.8-litre TSI petrol cars cost £25,385, with the 2.0-litre TDI diesel 4x4 estate costing £29,620.
As before, the range-topping Laurin & Klement specification adds even more equipment to the high-spec Elegance model. A 10-speaker sound system, brown leather seats and heated rear seats are all standard, as is a TV tuner and front parking sensors. The estate also adds a panoramic sunroof. Prices start at £26,700 for the 2.0-litre TDI hatchback.
Elegance and Laurin & Klement cars are also available with the high-power 256bhp 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine. The L&K 3.6 V6 4x4 estate is the most expensive Superb on sale, prices starting from £34,430.
The updated Skoda Superb goes on sale from 17 July and offers the same huge boot and generous rear legroom as the outgoing model.
