The Audi SQ5 is now on sale from £43,870. The high-performance Q5-based SUV is powered by a 310bhp twin-turbocharged diesel engine, giving a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds. That's as fast as an entry-level Porsche 911 and quicker than any Q5 on sale. The SQ5 returns a claimed 41.5mpg and emits 179g/km of CO2.
As well as the powerful engine, the SQ5 has an eight-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. It sits on stiffer, lower sports suspension and large 20-inch alloy wheels. Look closely and you’ll spot SQ5 logos on the black brake calipers, as well as other visual changes including a grey single-frame front grille, aluminium-look mirrors, rear roof spoiler and sports bumpers. There's also a set of quad tailpipes and xenon headlamps with LED running lights.
Inside, there's black leather upholstery and contrasting brushed aluminium inlays. The SQ5 also gets electrically adjustable sports seats, a starter button and grey instruments, plus a 180-watt sound system operated by a 6.5-inch screen.
