Citroen DS5 prices and specs

By George Chapman | 1st February 2012

The Citroen DS5 is now available to order, with first deliveries arriving in April.

Prices start at £22,400 for the e-HDi 110 DSign model, rising to the top of the range Hybrid4 DSport, priced at £32,200.

Buyers have a choice of four engines – a 1.6 THP 200 petrol, 1.6 or 2.0 HDi diesels and the flagship Hybrid4. This combines the more powerful 2.0 HDi 163bhp diesel with a 37bhp electric motor.

All DS5 models are available with either a manual or automatic gearbox.

The Hybrid4 comes with stop/start and an automated manual 6-speed gearbox that optimises shift times. This helps to reduce emissions to 99g/km, making it exempt from Road Tax and the London Congestion Charge. Drivers can select one of four different modes in order to increase efficiency, performance or grip.

The entry-level e-HDi also comes with stop/start, producing emissions of 114g/km.

During recent Euro NCAP crash tests the DS5 achieved the maximum 5-star rating. Safety features include ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with traction control and hill start assist. All models are fitted with driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags.

Base-model DSign trim includes front fog lights with cornering function, keyless entry and start, cruise control, automatic dual-zone air conditioning and automatic wipers and headlights.

Mid-range DStyle adds part leather seats, a panoramic ‘cockpit’ sunroof, sat-nav, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Top-spec DSport features full leather upholstery, front electric heated seats, front parking sensors and a head-up display.
