Tesla is a California-based company which specialises in making electric cars. Currently, Tesla has just one model, the Roadster 2.5, which is based on the Lotus Elise, but this is set to expand.

The Tesla Roadster 2.5 offers those lucky enough to be able to afford it, a genuine all-electric sports car that accelerates like nothing else on the road. Theoretically, its advanced lithium ion battery pack can power the Roadster for 235 miles before needing a four-hour fast charge. Although the Roadster is based on the Lotus Elise, Tesla has added more equipment, like a reversing camera, and carbon fibre trim to make it justify its steep asking price. For the 2.5 model version, there are more comfortable seats, adjustable suspension which changes through 10 different settings from hard to soft, and a seven-inch touchscreen display.
