A recent facelift has made the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer a much nicer place to spend time in
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer feels spacious and comfortable and the controls are easy and pleasant for the driver to use. While the old dashboard had too many buttons and felt distinctly busy, a recent facelift has significantly improved things.

There’s plenty of seat and steering wheel adjustment for the driver and since the facelift, the Zafira Tourer’s dashboard looks neat, modern and is easy to use. A seven-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard across the range, while Vauxhall’s decision to keep physical buttons and knobs for the heating and ventilation (rather than having these controlled by the screen) is welcome.
Equipment
Every model is equipped with Vauxhall's Navi 4.0 IntelliLink infotainment system, which offers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and sat nav on models with the 'Nav' suffix. It also enables access to OnStar, providing a 24-hour emergency call as well as convenient services such as hotel room reservation and parking space location. All on board can also make use of a wi-fi hotspot, although data charges may apply.
Entry-level Zafira Tourer Design models have cruise control, a seven-inch touchscreen, DAB radio, all-round parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels. All Zafira Tourers come with Vauxhall’s OnStar service, too. This is free for the first year and provides automatic assistance in the event of a collision, while telephone operatives in the OnStar service centre can help with any questions you have about the car, and can even programme the sat nav for you if this feature is fitted. A wi-fi hotspot is also included with OnStar, though note this is only free for the first three months (or three GB of data – whichever comes first).
TechLine Nav models come next, adding the sat nav its name suggests, along with a dual-zone climate control system in place of the Design's air-conditioning. Stepping up to SRi brings a sportier look, with bigger 18-inch alloy wheels and a set of front foglamps, while SRi Nav adds sat nav.
Top-spec Elite Nav trim includes sat nav, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated leather seats and a panoramic sunroof, along with a distinctive chrome finish beneath the side windows.
Options
It’s worth considering Vauxhall’s safety system with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and automatic emergency braking – this last feature can help reduce insurance premiums.
