More a four-seat sports car than a limousine, the hatchback Panamera is extraordinarily capable. Two or four-wheel-drive versions are available, and drivers can choose from a variety of engines - 3.6-litre V6, a 4.8-litre V8 or 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrols, a 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a 3.0-litre petrol-electric hybrid. Inside, the car is beautifully trimmed, and it's almost as much fun to ride in the back as it is to drive.

It's better to think of the Porsche Panamera as a 911 with two full-sized rear seats rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class rival. All versions deliver the hugely entertaining driving experience Porsche is renowned for. They’re all expensive to buy and run, but if you love Porsches and need the additional passenger space, this is the car for you. It might not be pretty and the boot is tiny, but there's no denying it's an incredible car.
