Hot car deal: fully-loaded Volkswagen Tiguan for £319 a month

Buyers looking for their next family car have more mid-size SUVs to choose from than ever before, but few balance practicality, build quality and refinement like the Volkswagen Tiguan. A fairly large upfront payment of £3,829.51 is required, but this can be reduced by paying slightly more each month if that suits you better. There’s a mileage limit of 5,000 per year, but similarly, this can be increased if you’re willing to pay more each month and upfront. As an example, doubling the mileage to 10,000 per year ups the payments to £332.32 per month and £3,987.89 upfront.

You don’t just get any old entry-level Tiguan either – this deal is for the range-topping R-Line model. Given the added equipment that comes with the top-spec Tiguan, this deal looks like even better value. You get an IMAX-worthy 12.9-inch central infotainment screen, a digital driver’s display, heated and massaging front seats, a host of safety features and a pair of snazzy 3D LED tail-lights. Under the bonnet is a 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine with 148bhp, capable of returning around 43mpg, sending power to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
