The Abarth 124 Spider is the sister to the Fiat 124 Spider and Mazda MX-5

It's the fastest of the three cars...

...and the most aggressively styled

Power comes from a 168bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged engine

A great six-speed manual gearbox is offered, and so is an optional and a not-so-great automatic

0-62mph happens in 6.8 seconds and a 144mph top speed is possible

It has firmer suspension than other versions, but still comfortable

There's no storage space to speak of here - not even a glovebox

Steering doesn't have as much feel as MX-5s of old, but it's still great fun to drive
