Hot Skoda Enyaq iV vRS gets 295bhp and £52,670 price tag
Skoda’s second hot electric SUV goes on sale in 2023 with a 310-mile range
- Dual electric motors producing 295bhp
- Maximum range of 321 miles
- On sale in 2023 from £52,670
The Skoda Enyaq iV vRS hot SUV is due to arrive in showrooms in June 2023, with pricing now confirmed to start from £52,670. The vRS version gains a power boost thanks to its dual electric motor powertrain, while it also receives a styling makeover to reflect its improved performance.
The arrival of the Enyaq iV vRS follows on from the Coupe version which was introduced earlier in 2022. The Enyaq vRS SUV offers a 585 litre boot that’s 15 litres bigger than the Coupe, which extends to 1,710 litres with the seats folded down. Both models look almost identical from the front, with the same gloss black trim and Crystal Face grille that’s illuminated by 131 LEDs. Enyaq vRS models also gain body-coloured exterior cladding and alloy wheels measuring 20 or 21-inches in diameter, along with the exclusive option of Hyper Green paintwork.
With a combined 295bhp from its front and rear electric motors, the vRS model has around 30bhp more power than the Enyaq iV 80x SportLine Plus, helping it launch from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. Skoda claims the hot Enyaq should be able to manage 321 miles between charges, while its 135kW rapid charging capability means that the battery can be topped up to 80% in as little as 35 minutes.
Inside, the makeover continues with a carbon effect finish for the dashboard and interior trim pieces, aluminium pedals and heated sports seats with an integrated headrest and vRS logo. Standard kit includes triple-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting and a wireless smartphone charger. Buyers will also be able to choose between ‘Suedia’ microfibre upholstery or perforated leather with grey contrasting stitching. A 12-speaker Canton sound system is also on the options list, along with an opening panoramic sunroof.
A 13-inch touchscreen – the largest currently fitted in a Skoda model – dominates the dashboard, and there’s also a smaller 5.3-inch display behind the steering wheel for speed, driving assistance and navigation data.
