Bought this car 2 weeks ago after trading in my ford focus and wouldn't fault it! Cracking car my package is the the vtr+ 1.6 hdi model cruise control etc. There amazing on diesel with a light foot average 45+ mpg round the doors never really had a long run in it yet but could be looking at 60mpg. Only thing that has stopped working is the mechanism to load cd's bit of a pain having the radio on since there is no aux standard in the vtr + overall a good car

This is the worst car I have ever owned. I bought it from a lady that had it from a dealership, that had to do nearly £2,000 work on it on the selectees and semi auto gearbox it came with the receipts for the work and I thought having all that work done it should be ok for a while. I had it 2 months (17 days after the guaranteed ran out) it broke down again, 6 weeks and me £1,500 lighter it came back from the Citroen dealer and lasted 2 weeks, another related repair and £170 lighter I got it back and 3 times it has broken down again and now they are saying 8hrs to strip/8 hrs to resemble then the price of whatever it is it will be cheaper to buy a new car, my usual mechanic won't touch these with a bargepole (his words) and neither would I this car is that bad they have stopped making them according to the dealership. Shame really as I love the car itself - it's just so very unreliable.

Car went well enough until year 4 when the engine management system stopped me on a slip road to a busy dual carriageway. After being towed back to garage I was told that the fuel injectors had corroded. This was at 21000 miles. The car next to mine in the workshop was the same type ( 18000miles). It also had corroded injectors. My bill was £800 for 2 injectors. The other guy was considerably higher. I lost confidence in the car after that and have since changed makes. I don't think a car of that mileage should have corrosion problems inside a "sealed" area of the engine.

My first... and last Citroen. I bought this car from a main Ford dealer as I needed something big enough for the family and fuel efficient as I was driving a fair way to work and back. Within 2 months, the struts that hold the boot up failed, luckily whilst the boot was down. About a year later, the bonnet started rattling. I took the vehicle to a main Citroen dealer who told me it would be £600 for a new bonnet as the catch is welded in and they can't just replace the catch. The dealer recommended that I buy one from eBay and assured me they'd secured it. The next day, I was in the middle lane of the M6 driving at 70 mph when the bonnet flew up, smashed my windscreen and obscured my view. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. The dealer initially refused to accept responsibility but as soon as I threatened legal action, they replaced the bonnet and windscreen at their cost. Aside from that, I've had other issues with the electrics, gear system and handling. At high speed on a motorway, the car will rock in the wind. Space-wise, the car is great. Loads of room for 2 kids and an adult in the back plus all our luggage. The fridge is a nice touch, though pretty pointless. The cruise-control is pretty jerky but that's probably because of the EGS (which is jerky anyway). The car feels like it's made of cheap plastic and I never got any enjoyment from driving it. I won't be sad to see it go!!

This car is good for my needs as it's big enough to fit the wife, 2 kids and my dog in comfortably, but the ride quality is terrible, If I go over a bump in the road the whole cabin vibrates and I can feel every bump on the road while driving. There is a lot of road noise that comes through as well. The 1.6 diesel engine is not that refined as it's quite rattly and the manual gearbox is notchy. The build quality is poor lots of things are starting to rattle inside the car while driving. I wish I had bought something else as it's not rewarding to drive, now I drive with the stereo quite high to try and drown out these problems. Would never buy another citroen!

It is a very comfortable very practical car. The miander to 60 is sufficient for city driving. Motorway crusing is excellent. Running costs excellent for the size of car.

Excellent, practical car that is easy & rewarding to drive. Very good towing vehicle (4/5 berth caravan) and reasonable fuel economy. Heavy tailgate is the only real negative - it would stop me buying a similar vahicle, since my wife simply cannot cope with it.

A little disapointed in the build quality, and very annoyed that the radio shuts down when car goes into economy mode after 2 minutes, you have to have the engine running to listen to the radio

It is a highly practical and comfortable car wth plenty of storage very comfy on long ditances (took it to barcelona last summer).For An auto its very economical.The Egs gearbox can be a little jerky but putting the pedal to the metal cures that ! The car is no go cart but it can suprise with its handling, the suspension has an uncontrolled rocking/yawing motion at times but you get used to it.Very Smooth diesel engine 138bhp and with the high quality f sound insulation makes the car very relaxing to drive. Overall a very good looking mpv thats delivered reliability and economy and its nickname is bertie the bus.

Great car for fitting in all the kids and paraphernalia but disappointing car to drive with respect to handling. It is fast enough and stops really well but the corner roll is disconcerting and not expected as all road testers reported this was not an issue. Hate to have a car wher they say it is!

Preety gook and overall is reliable. The small engine shows when pulling off, but we've taken it round europe and it got us up and down mountains fine! Spacious enough for a family of 6, and does 44 mpg, can't complain!

Had car for fourteen months and have had no problems at all. It took us on holiday to the south of france and over the alps(3400 miles) in the summer and returned a fuel consumption of 44 to the gallon for the trip. Average consumption overall is 47 per gallon. The grand piccaso is a super car.

Very underrated - compared to similar offerings from ford and vauxhall it is incredible value for money - not only to buy, but also to run. My ford ka couldn't come anywhere near the low running costs of this, much bigger and more practical car.
