Good MPG and a servicing package keeps costs under control. Insurance reasonable for type of car and performance.

A great car. Styling is quite good and still looks contemporary. Handling and braking are good. Has quite good economy for its generation. Good cockpit, however rear seats for kids are like a leather lined coffin - but that's one of the compromises for styling! Let down by only one franchised alfa romeo dealer in northern ireland. You should be able to read faults and reset service lights without having to go to a main dealer.

It's very stylish car and very practical. It's not the fastest car on the road but it goes fast enough for me. The economy is first rate. If alfa still made the gt i would buy another one next time i change my car.

The car is serviced as required with no expense spared what it needs it gets.

As the car is a second car the mileage is modest. If you look after it well and check the levels regularly all will be well otherwise it is no more expensive that any other except for petrol that is.

I/we love it but recognise that it's not the best value for money. It is beautifully styled but we have had disastrous problems with the cam belt breaking and damaging the engine. Then a garage repaired it incorrectly and a dealership had to put it right. This is the 3rd alfa romeo we have owned - we do love them but would really think twice before buying another.

Great car - classic alfa coupe with the busso v6 engine. Car used regularly for cross european drives. Only the turing circle & ride quality let it down. Only real issue has been a dodgy drive shaft. Car has 72k on it & his hard used.

It’s an alfa romeo gt, it may not be built like a boring german but it just look at it! Once you own an alfa you say you truly understand aesthetic quality. It’s not always about bhp, mph, reliability or numbers... we are not machines we are people, with emotions and feeling, the alfa romeo appeals to your heart which will always win over your head. And their history is truly remarkable. I always catch myself looking back at my alfa. And when i return to it after a hard day’s work i see it staring back at me in the car park i crack a smile every time. I love it! ;)

This my second alfa gt. The first did 36000 miles and the only faults were a faulty fuel injector fixed under warrenty and a blown side light bulb. My present car is a diesel and after 18,000 miles has had no faults. I have been impressed by the car its economy and the dealer i use. They are definatley my fist choice when the time comes to change.

Alfa romeo still need to improve the overall reliability of their cars, as some of my problems have been due to the build quality, or rather, lack of it. I've had problems with water getting into light clusters, annoying squeaks and rattles (one of which remains), and some juddering when the clutch pedal is released sometimes!
