I bought this car new 7 yrs ago. What a fantastic under rated car this is. Its comfortable and has all the extras as standard that are normally extras on other cars. After 84000 miles I have not spent a penny on it on repairs, just have it serviced every year at local Independent Honda specialist. nothing has ever gone wrong!

I have had Honda Accords for 30 years,usually buy about 12 - 18 month old. Last two, including this one have been new. This one is without doubt an absolute bucket!!!. I will NEVER buy another Honda. Air conditioning compressor blown (over a grand if I was silly enough to replace it!) Front discs apparently needed replacing at 15,000k!. This car is not driven hard. Now alarm has stopped working. Front passenger door mirror goosed (electrics). Spring loaded cover in central arm rest area no longer spring loaded. Plastic bits coming loose in same area. Man I remember when Honda made great reliable well engineered cars but these days have gone!!. Like i say - BUCKET!

A couple of times the diesel engine went into a "limp mode" with reduced power, limiting speed to 30 or 40mph, due to fuel filter clogging between services. The bigger issue was that clutch needed replacement at less than 50000 miles. In my many years of driving I've never had to replace a clutch before, so I think this is a weakness in the clutch rather than driving style.

Generally extremely reliable and comfortable to drive. The dpf system is a disaster area - the car has been returned 6 times in 15 months from new for dpf regeneration and i have now been waiting 2 weeks for a new dpf filter. No other faults to report. Foglamps too dim to be of any use.

Overall a good experience. Good refinement, adequate performance, easy to live with let down by poorly shaped cramped boot and anoyingly diffficult to opperate hands free phone interface. Lack of any form of spare tyre caused me to miss a days work sorting out a terminally holed tyre after hitting a pot hole.
