Mercedes CLS saloon pictures 2018
First launched in 2004, the Mercedes CLS is a luxurious four-door saloon with a coupe-style roof
The latest CLS seats five and rivals the Audi A7 Sportback and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe
It also has a more dynamic and muscular appearance, with LED lighting and large alloy wheels to help it stand out
Despite the big alloys, the CLS is a comfortable cruiser, particularly when air suspension is fitted
There isn't a slow CLS, but engines range from the diesel 350d to the petrol 450 that can get from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds
There's also a Mercedes-AMG 53 CLS with 429bhp that cuts the sprint to 4.5 seconds
The CLS is designed to be fuel-efficient too, and the 350d returns up to 48.7mpg
The sheer size of the CLS means it's not exactly nimble, but it is satisfying to drive, flowing nicely between corners
The CLS comes loaded with safety kit, including autonomous emergency braking
The CLS is available just in AMG Line trim, so every version comes bursting with equipment
