From small family SUVs to hot hatches and even the odd hypercar, 2018 is shaping up to be a cracker for new car launches. Whatever type of car you're interested in, you can pretty much guarantee it'll be cheaper to run, packed full of the latest tech - and will offer the choice of hybrid, plug-in hybrid or all-electric power.
You can rely on one thing though: 2018 will be the year when electric cars really come of age - and the new car market will never be the same again.
