Volkswagen Amarok Ultimate: the most luxurious yet

The most luxurious version of the Volkswagen Amarok pick-up yet is now on sale. The Volkswagen Amarok Ultimate is priced from £29,555 excluding VAT and is available to order now.

Volkswagen will sell just 500 examples of the Amarok Ultimate, which boasts the highest standard specification ever offered on the big pick-up.

Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a chrome-trimmed grille and LED headlight strips, power-folding heated door mirrors and dark-tinted rear lights.

Inside, the Volkswagen Amarok Ultimate features suede-like Alcantara upholstery, heated front seats and satellite navigation. Other equipment includes a rear parking camera, tinted rear glass and Bluetooth phone connectivity.

Two colours are available: Reflex Silver or Deep Black (pictured). Both colour combinations have side stripes with ‘Ultimate’ written across the front doors.

The flagship model is powered by VW's top-of-the-range 2.0-litre BiTDI diesel engine which develops 177bhp and provides a towing capacity of up to 3,200kg.

Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox – the latter costing an additional £1,415 (plus VAT). Manual models have switchable four-wheel drive, meaning they can operate in two-wheel-drive mode to save fuel or in four-wheel-drive mode for added grip.
