Land Rover Discovery Anniversary Edition announced
Just 400 examples of Discovery with extra kit are available to UK buyers
Land Rover has announced an Anniversary Edition of the Discovery to celebrate the 30th year since the very first model was launched back in 1989. There will be 400 on offer to the UK market, each with a price tag of £59,995.
The Anniversary Edition is essentially a Discovery Sd6 in SE trim with an exclusive pack of extras. The 400 buyers will get a choice of four special metallic paints, privacy glass, a fixed panoramic roof, a 380W Meridian sound system and a set of silver 22-inch alloy wheels. These options would normally cost just under £7,000 in total, making the Anniversary Edition good value compared with the Sd6 SE given it only costs around £3,000 more.
The four metallic paintwork colours to choose from are called Santorini Black, Corris Grey, Loire Blue or Indus Silver. The Anniversary Edition comes with a 3.0-litre diesel engine, automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive, and returns between 28.3 and 31.6mpg.

Land Rover has sold a combined total of 1.7 million Discovery and Discovery Sport models globally, with the latter becoming its best-selling model.
The Anniversary Edition Land Rover Discovery Anniversary Edition is available to order now from £59,995.
