Peugeot RCZ Magnetic limited edition
High-spec Peugeot RCZ Magnetic revealed, with prices starting at £25,350
The limited edition Peugeot RCZ Magnetic has been revealed, with prices starting at £25,350 for the entry-level 1.6-litre THP 156 petrol engine.
Based on the 2013 RCZ Sport, all Magnetic models add front and rear parking sensors, sat-nav, special paint, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Leather sports seats and a soft-touch leather steering wheel are also standard.
Only 170 will be available to UK customers, with a choice of three engines. As well as the basic 1.6-litre petrol engine, there is a higher-power 1.6-litre THP 200 engine, which will cost from £27,735 and cover 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds. A 2.0-litre HDi diesel engine is also available, returning 53.2mpg and emitting 139g/km of CO2. It costs £27,185, while all cars are available in special Pearlescent Pearl white or Metallic Nera black paint.
Standard equipment across the RCZ range includes separate air-conditioning controls for the driver and passenger, automatic lights and wipers, and electric front windows. The stylish ‘bubble’ roof remains, while top-specification GT cars get heated seats and bigger alloy wheels.
Available to buy from Peugeot dealers soon, the RCZ Magnetic commands a premium of £3,750 over the standard RCZ Sport. This considerable price increase puts it in direct competition with the likes of the desirable Audi TT and accomplished VW Scirocco – two well built and reliable coupes.
