Citroen C5 and DS5 updates
Citroen has facelifted the C5 and added extra kit to its DS5 flagship
Citroen has announced updates for its C5 and DS5 ranges, including revised styling and new options. The C5 has received a light facelift to bring it in line with other models, featuring new chevrons and enhanced curves. Also available are optional alloy wheels and a pearlescent ‘Guaranja Brown’ paint job. Citroen’s family car, which is available as a saloon or Tourer estate, can now also be specified with a Techno Pack, which includes uprated alloy wheels, parking sensors and sat-nav. The pack commands a £700 premium and can be specified on top of any existing spec. At the same time, Citroen has announced a number of new options on the luxury DS5, including new eco-friendly wheels and an exclusive option pack. The introduction of 17-inch Houston alloy wheels as a no-cost option on the Hybrid4 DStyle and DSport versions reduces the CO2 emissions from 107g/km to 99g/km. This pushes both models into the all important free road tax band. For a more aggressive look, the Signature pack is available on the DS5 HDi 160 DStyle and DSport models. It adds lowered suspension, gloss black door mirrors and 19-inch alloy wheels. This option pack is available now and costs £650. On higher powered DS5 THP 200 models, the Signature pack is added as standard.
