Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 now cleaner
Software update for Citroen DS5 sees emissions tumble
The Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 is now more environmentally friendly than ever. Thanks to a new software update, CO2 emissions for the upmarket hybrid family hatch are now down to just 91g/km.
The update to the DS5’s engine management software enables greater efficiency from the Hybrid4 diesel-electric drivetrain, thanks to improvements including regenerative braking and a refined battery management system.
The changes reduce emissions for the DSign model from 99g/km to 91g/km, while higher-spec DStyle and DSport versions see emissions slashed from 107g/km to 102g/km. But pick the no-cost-option 17-inch ‘Houston’ alloy wheels, and the CO2 figures for these will match that of the 91g/km DSign model.
Prices remain unchanged, kicking off at £27,600 for the DS5 Hybrid4 DSign. The DStyle costs from £30,100, while the top-spec DSport starts at £32,300. All models are on sale now.
