Ford Fiesta Metal is hottest yet
Until the Fiesta ST arrives next year, Ford has released the hottest Fiesta yet, the Metal special edition.
Attention all hot hatch fans! Ford has released the hottest version so far of the popular Fiesta, the 134bhp Metal special edition.
Based on the 120bhp Ford Fiesta Zetec-S, the latest model produces an extra 14bhp from a tweaked version of the 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine. The Metal is capable of 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds.
Available now, Ford plan to build just 1,000 examples of the Metal hot hatch, with prices starting from £15,695.
A Ford spokesperson said, "This Ford Fiesta special edition gives the customer great exterior styling with an enhanced performance engine. Customers love that we create Fiestas with special features that prove to be real head-turners."
From the outside, the Fiesta Metal is easily distinguished by its 17-inch black alloy wheels, lowered ride height, chrome twin exhaust pipes and silver-painted front spoiler plus exterior trim. Buyers also have the choice of three colours, Panther Black, Midnight Sky and Frozen White.
Inside the Metal gets Ebony Black leather sports seats, black-painted interior trim and stainless steel door scuff plates.
Standard equipment also includes anti-skid control (ESP), plus front, side and knee airbags.
