Ford Fiesta prices and specifications announced
New Ford Fiesta comes in six versions with CO2 emissions below 100g/km and class-leading 65.7mpg fuel economy.
The new Ford Fiesta is aiming for best-in-class fuel economy, with six models offering emissions of less than 100g/km and returning 65.6mpg. An ECOnetic version will also be available, which is expected to emit 87g/km of CO2 and to return 85.6mpg.
The Fiesta will also be available in the UK for the first time with Ford’s award-winning 98bhp and 123bhp 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engines, a 78bhp 1.0-litre direct-injection petrol and a 74bhp 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel. These are in addition to the 93bhp 1.6-litre Duratorq diesel, 103bhp 1.6-litre petrol, and 58bhp or 80bhp 1.25-litre petrols. Ford’s new six-speed transmission also appears in the Fiesta range for the first time.
Stop-start will be standard in the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre Duratorq ECOnetic models, while a new chassis, suspension and electronic power-steering will be introduced across the range. A UK Titanium X spec will also include a keyfree system, DAB radio, Ford’s SYNC driver assistance system and partial leather interior as standard, while a high-performance Fiesta ST model will also be added early next year.
The new Ford Fiesta will cost from £9,795 to £17,545 on the road.
