Mitsubishi ASX crossover

The latest 2012 Mitsubishi ASX arrives in the UK offering buyers considerably lower running costs..

Sharing a platform with the Mitsubishi Outlander and Mitsubishi Lancer, the most econmical version of the 2012 model year ASX is fitted with a 1.8-litre diesel engine that benefits from a reduction in CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy.

Lower running costs

Capable of 54.3mpg (from 51mpg) and producing 136g/km of CO (from 150g/km) owners of the diesel ASX face an annual Road Tax bill of £115. The 1.6-litre petrol engine returns 47.1mpg (down from 47.9mpg) and CO2 emissions of 139g/km.

The improvements in fuel economy and emissions are mainly due to the fitment of low rolling resistance tyres, regenerative brakes and intelligent power management.

Five star Euro NCAP rating

The Mitsubishi ASX also features a range of safety equipment including ABS brakes, Active Stability Control, Traction Control, Electronic Brake Distribution, Brake Assist, an Emergency Stop Signal System and 7 airbags as standard. As a result the ASX boasts a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Prices

The ASX is available in four different trim variants and with either two, or four-wheel drive. Prices for the new Mitsubishi ASX start at £16,499 for the ASX2 1.6 petrol ranging to £25,895 for the ASX4 Black 1.8 diesel 4WD. The ASX3 1.8 diesel is available from £20,599.
