New Honda Civic prices revealed

Honda has released prices for the new 2012 Civic hatchback, which is available to order now.

Prices for the new 2012 Honda Civic start from £16,495 on the road for the entry-level 1.4-litre i-VTEC SE model.

Built in the UK at Honda's manufacturing facility in Swindon, the new Civic is fitted with a choice of two petrol engines, a 1.4 and a 1.8 plus one 2.2 diesel. There are four trim levels, including SE, ES, EX and EX GT.

Customers placing orders now will receive delivery of their new Honda Civic in January next year.

All models feature air conditioning, daytime running lights and a new dashboard-mounted 5-inch screen that displays mpg, the stop/start status plus audio and climate settings.

Models fitted with manual gearboxes come with Honda's version of stop/start, the whole range also includes a fuel saving switch called ECON. Fitted to existing Jazz and Insight models activating the switch changes the car's settings in order to improve fuel consumption.

The mid-range ES model is available from £18,995 for the 1.8 petrol and £21,095 for the diesel. Standard equipment includes cruise control, rear view parking camera along with keyfob-operated windows and door mirrors.

ES buyers also get duel zone air-con, Bluetooth, front fog lights, a six speaker stereo and leather steering wheel and gear knob.

EX trim adds leather interior and sat-nav plus a superior sound system, prices start at £21,745 for the 1.8-litre petrol-engined version.

Top of the range EX GT models are priced from £24,495 and improve on the EX specification adding keyless entry and ignition, parking sensors, panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels and privacy glass.

The T-Grade sat-nav package will be available on SE ands ES trims from March 2012 priced at £995.

Models fitted with 1.8-litre petrol engine can be specified with a five-speed automatic gearbox for a £1,385 premium.
