Peugeot 508 RXH
The new Peugeot 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid is set to make it's world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Peugeot has released details of the new 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid estate- set to make it's world debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.
Featuring all-wheel drive and raised suspension, the 508 RXH will sit at the top of the 508 range above the 508 Saloon and SW estate models. The exterior receives a range of bodywork extensions, covering the lower areas of the car plus new LED daytime running lights and forged alloy wheels.
Under the higher and wider bodywork the 508 RXH uses the same 2.0-litre I HDi FAP HYbrid4 power-plant fitted in the 3008 HYbrid4 crossover. The diesel engine alone produces 163bhp and once in Sport mode, power is boosted by a 37bhp electric motor.
Producing 200bhp in total and with a maximum torque of 450Nm the 508 RXH also incudes a silent, 100% electric mode called ZEV, helping to provide a 67.2mpg combined fuel economy and emissions of 109g/km of CO2.
Available in just one trim finish, the 508 RXH will be equipped with Stop/Start, Head Up Display, sat nav, automatic electric parking brake and electric front seats as standard. Customers have the option of full or part leather interior.
The 508 RXH goes on sale in the UK in spring 2012.
