Prices revealed for new Volkswagen Passat
New Passat to cost from £18,470 in saloon form and £19,745 for the Estate.
Despite looking similar to the current Passat, Volkswagen claims that only the roof is carried over, and the rest of the car is completely new. What’s more, VW claims that the new Passat range has the most advanced and economical cars in its class.

Every diesel engine is now badged as an eco-friendly BlueMotion Technology product and is equipped with battery regeneration and stop and start technology as standard. The result is that the entry-level 1.6-litre TDI diesel is capable 65.7 mpg and CO2 emissions of 114 g/km.
Three trim levels, S, SE and Sport are available, and all cars have an iPod interface and leather multifunction steering wheel, six airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system), ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme) and WOKS (whiplash-optimised head restraints) as standard.
