Volkswagen announce Jetta prices

Volkswagen has confirmed that the all-new Jetta saloon will cost less than the equivalent five-door Golf. Priced from £16,960 and available to order at VW dealers now, the entry-level Jetta S 1.4-litre TSI petrol is priced at £685 less than the popular hatchback.

Available with the choice of two petrol 1.4-litre TSI engines (120bhp or 158bhp) and two diesel 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre TDI engines (104bhp and 138bhp), the Jetta is also available with VW's DSG gearbox, in either six or seven-speed variants depending on engine choice.

All models come fitted as standard with air conditioning, an MP3 compatible CD stereo, six airbags, ABS and ESP. The first customer deliveries are due in May.
