VW Golf Cabrio and Jetta receive five star NCAP rating
The Volkswagen Jetta and Golf Cabriolet have been awarded the full five stars in recent Euro NCAP crash tests. Watch the videos here.
Both the Jetta and Golf Cabriolet have been awarded top marks in recent Euro NCAP crash tests, placing the two Volkswagens among the safest vehicles in their class.
The open-top Golf received a score of 96 per cent for occupant safety, where the Jetta scored 94 per cent. Both models were also praised for reaching the maximum rating for child occupant protection.
In pedestrian impact tests the Golf was commended for very good head protection for children whilst the Jetta had very good protection of the lower leg against the bumper.
Both vehicles are fitted as standard with seat belt buckling reminders and ESP anti-skid control, receiving good scores of 71 percent in the 'safety assist' test area.
