It's a great looking car and I had it for 2 years. Other than servicing, there were no faults and it was 100 per cent reliable. It was a bit thirsty on petrol - about 35 to the gallon - but LPG was great and worked out as being 50 per cent cheaper than petrol, but all good things come to an end as a driver of another car parked behind me on a steep hill and left his handbrake off and all I could do was look on as the car came down the hill at speed and ran into the side of my car. It was only a dent about 6 inches by 4 inches but because no one stores new body panels in the UK and it would take up to 2 months to ship from Malaysia or Australia, the insurance company pointed out a clause about parts so I had to accept a pittance for my car. I loved to drive it.

Very cheap to buy and to run. Tax not bad, fuel costs amazing i get equivalent cost of 62 mpg running on lpg, insurance cheap. Looks fairly good. Build quality is ok, feels a bit light weight but nothing has broken despite 3 vandal kids in it who destroyed a mercedes we owned prior. Engine is ok for size of car. Not quick, not slow, keeps up fine with normal traffic flow. Is noisy if driven hard, but handles quite well if you drive it hard. to get good performance needs to be revved, performance is top end, bit flat low down revs. Mpg is equivalent of 62mpg, as i use lpg getting about 32 mpg on that (lpg is half price of unleaded). Has never broken down or had any faults. Only things purchased have been service items that have been cheap. would definitely buy proton again.

Bought for LPG and because it was cheap, it's a 1.6 auto with two tone leather seats (red & black). Looks good in its shiny red paintwork and is completed with a rear spoiler, I have had lots of positive comments of styling, it looks good. Cheap to service, petrol 35 mpg equivalent to 70 mpg LPG at 70 mph... Note at 70 mph it is a little noisey, slight whistling from bodywork. Being LPG I change oil regularly at 10,000 as it runs hotter than petrol. Loss of power not really noticable switching between petrol and LPG. I drive about 700 miles a week which makes a model with cruise control essential for me. Handling is ok, but not up to that of new cars, but it was one third of the price to buy! Comfortable but a little hard as mine is a sporty version. Boot space limited because of LPG tank and get you home spare wheel. I have driven 12,000 in heavy traffic, local bypasses and country lanes over the past four months and no problems so far...

Nice looking car let down by silly things like parcel shelf clips breaking. Drives well and benifits from cheap Lpg running .Nice leather seats and steering wheel.For the price its great value for money car ..Problem will be resale value not good ...

Nice looking car, starts and stops well enough but try and get the most basic of spares, no chance. 3 months I have been waiting for a temp sensor and thermostat, avoid like the plague, walk as you will be doing if you buy one. NO SPARE PARTS, SO THEY WONT RUN. Bag of spanners, if you know what I really mean. Only left 1 star below as there wasn't any lower scores

Great car, love the looks and handling. Bit sluggish on hills running on LPG. But other than that perfect for me. Commuting and long motorway trips are no problem. I had a warning light problem which Proton sorted out for me at great expense to them... I cant fault this car really running-wise very reliable. Plan to keep mine for a long time.

Great car my name put to wrong review here. Looks suspension perfect no problems reliable. Had engine warning light problem fixed by Proton above average service from them. I would highly recommend this car and my last two cars were Honda. This is very good value for money.
