I swapped from an mg zt to an audi because i wanted a solid, reliable car - it has been anything but. The internal wiring is suspect at best, and the used car warranty that audi give you doesn't cover anything electronic - naturally just about anything that can go wrong with the car (and there has been quite a bit) has, according to audi, been an electrical fault. By that they mean the fuel gauge sensor, the brakes and the turbo. Honestly i feel so disillusioned - so much for the fabled audi quality.

Superb cruising machine,it has all the extra's,but the first owner took the hit for them,audi garage gives good service.The Ride is the only bug bear,to harsh for an exec motor,otherwise best car i've owned,as for reliability,time will tell,the grip isnt as expected,can understear if pushed(on bridgestones)awd isnt that good in snow,as most drive to rear,so has a tendancy to push straight on in a corner on ice/snow,electronic handbrake means unable to control in a skid(police trained pursuit driver,retired!) All in all a great car.

The car delivers exactly what i expected it to do, amazing load capacity (avant model) incredible fuel economy for a 5m long car (regularly top 60mpg on a run) and has all the toys i could possibly want (although it cost £8,000 in extras). What the car does not do is engage the driver in any way. Feel very detatched from the driving of the car, hence owning a ur quattro for the weekends. The car also fails on the driving position with the offset pedals and insufficient space next to the clutch to rest the foot. Otherwise it's an easy car to drive and hard to become easily fatigued in.

The audi performs extremely well, i call it the black beast, as the performance is brilliant, i have paddle gear change as well as auto, the fuel consumption is an average of 38.9 mpg, and keep a regular record of every purchase, for me the road holding steering and suspension is superb, the suspension is sporty not soft, and you can feel the car, when in the seat and through the steering wheel, to me this is the best car i have owned, and i have driven many different products as a regional technial engineer for vw toyota and the rac.
