I bought this car as a treat really as it only gets used high days and holidays and still only has under 40k on it but I just love driving it. Always a sense of occasion and its a sublime experience. Quite and refined but ask for power and it is instantaneous. I cannot understand a review saying the CVT gearbox is noisy as am sure mine isn't. All I get is a little tyre roar on some surfaces.

One fault to date, damaged air con pipe to rear compartment, found during a routine service and repaired FOC even though outside of warranty period.

The silence, comfort and effortless power make it the most stress free transport we have ever had in 50 years of motoring, 45 years of which were in relatively expensive cars. The manufacturer's and dealer's attitude to service clinch it.

HAVING BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2001, HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT APART FROM THE CHANGE OF A BATTERY IN 2008.

My lexus ls 400 is a superb car, fine build quality, very satisfying and comfortable to drive. My lexus dealer in milton keynes gives very good customer satisfaction.

Makes driving a joy, i don't get stressed out when stuck in traffic. Plenty of powere available when required. I have found the lexus range (had a gs300 previously) very reliable and comfortable. Service costs are reasonable and i was expecting to pay a lot more than a vauxhall vectra for example which has not been the case.

Wonderful value for money, feel happy just sitting in it. Only fault, sat nav system is obsolete and not worth updating. As i only do a small mileage i have no urge to exchange it, may change for a smaller hybrid lexus if petrol prices increase.
